What is "Z?"

"Z" is the term used to denote the impedance of a cable. Impedance is the net result of the capacitances (C), resistances (R), and the inductances (L) in the cable. Impedance can suffer (rise) if attention is paid to lowering one or two of these components, at the expense of the others.

Kubala-Sosna has paid attention to all three; that is how the name for the technology was derived; OptimiZ™ for Optimized Z. You can see and hear the results …

(a) New standards in the balance of L, C, and R
(b) New lows in characteristic impedance measurements
(c) New realism in the sound that is immediately distinguishable.

Why does the optimization of L, C and R, and the resultant reduction of Z make such a difference to how the cables perform and sound? That story will be told as we develop the site. For now, know it is real, and trust what you hear. We are confident you will be pleased ... we guarantee it
